The MMLL Logo
The Maryland Masters Lacrosse League logo is the League's primary identifier. To preserve a consistent visual image throughout the League, the logo needs to appear on all public-facing materials, including advertising, marketing, correspondence and apparel.

Within this site, you will find logo guidance as well as the various formats in which to download the MMLL logo.

In 2008, the MMLL began using a new version of its logo. The new version retained the essential look that has long been part of the MMLL's brand, but began presenting the well-known symbol with a more contemporary sports league "look-and-feel" with updates such as:
  • The inclusion of a blue shield background and multi-level, multi-colored outline
  • The addition of the league's full name and symbolic abbreviation text "MMLL"
  • The addition of three (3) red, white and blue stars at the bottom of the logo
The updated logo also added the complementary colors of red, white an blue, along with the signature colors of red, yellow gold and black.

Along with the updated main MMLL logo, the MMLL created a secondary wide-form variation with the traditional flag, sticks and script with shield back-drop, outline and stars - flanked by the league's full name text with symbolic abbreviation text "MMLL"

Logo Formats

The MMLL logos are available in the following formats:

EPS is a vector-based graphic file format. (The EPS files provided were created with Adobe Illustrator. Opening these EPS files in a graphic editor other than Illustrator may convert the EPS to bitmap format. Your word processor may not be able to import EPS files directly.) The advantage of EPS images is that they can be re-sized without distortion. Signage often requires the use of an EPS file format.

Note: When downloading the EPS version file of the MMLL Logo(s), you will notice that they have been saved in an Adobe portable document (PDF) format, for easy viewing. Simply save it to your hard disk and open the document with any vector-based editing program (e.g, Adobe Illustrator).

JPG is a bitmap graphic file. The advantage of JPG is that it is supported by most graphic editors for both PC and Macintosh. Some word processors will import JPG files directly. The disadvantage of JPG graphics is that they exhibit distortion when significantly re-sized.

GIF is one of the most widely used image formats on the web. GIF is suitable for images with sharp edges and relatively few gradations of color, such as line art, cartoons, and text. You can also create background transparencies and animations using GIF images. The advantage of GIF is that it too is supported by most graphic editors for both PC and Macintosh. Some word processors will import GIF files directly. The disadvantage of GIF graphics is that they exhibit distortion when significantly re-sized.
